Camper van meeting Karlsruhe, Germany

You are invited to take part in an international meeting of IPA friends with camper vans in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 25th to 28th August. Information is attached.

International Meeting of the IPA-Friends of Camper Vans

25. – 28.08.2011 in Karlsruhe

The Meeting 2011 in Karlsruhe will take place at the guarded area of the Landespolizeidirektion Karlsruhe in Durlach (76227 Karlsruhe, Alte Weingartener Straße 49). The parking space is smooth and partly shadowy (consider SAT-reception!) with power connection. Furthermore you’ll find showers and toilets close by. In the mornings you can get bread rolls at a service stand. Dogs have to be leashed because there are police dogs nearby.

Only camper vans are admitted on the ground.

For those who like to do sports, there is a sports hall and a public outdoor swimming pool nearby. The meetings will take place in the old canteen. If there are any problems or questions you can address yourself to the contact persons of the IPA (they have cars). In the lovely old city of Durlach you will find a lot of cosy and homely bars and restaurants. It’s at walking distance (1000m). If you want to visit the city centre of Karlsruhe you can use the well-developed tram-network.

Participants who arrive before the 25.th of August can use the following facilities: AZUR – Campingplatz Turmbergblick in 76227 KA-Durlach, Tiengener Str. 40. Caravan parkings in 76187 Karlsruhe – Yachthafen (Rheinbrücke) und in 76275 Ettlingen, Schöllbronner Straße (at the public swimming pool ‚Albgaubad’).

At the viewpoint you’ll get a rustic-style meal (Badisches Vesper) (incl.)

16.00 Uhr Time of free disposal / opportunity to get acquainted

Starting 19.00 Uhr Common dinner in the canteen (incl.)

10.30 Uhr Guided tour through the city center of Karlsruhe (incl.)

Visit of the Badische Landesmuseum in the castle

Visit of the Museum of Natural Sciences (Naturkundemuseum)

Visit of the art exhibition ‚Orangerie’

Evening-meeting with invited guests and entertainment
